IT is moving fast and nothing is of less worth than yesterday’s knowledge. As a consequence, we tend to run always for the latest and greatest and forget everything else.
Unfortunately, some knowledge is timeless as it addresses fundamental problems of IT. Yet, it still gets lost with every new generation of developers and every new trend that presses on the market.
In this talk we will try to excavate some essential old knowledge. Therefore we will re-visit a series of classic IT papers, mostly about software architecture and design, extract the key ideas of those papers and apply them to the challenges of today’s IT.
