About your application

How does the application process work?
Our application process is transparent, fair, and people-oriented. It generally proceeds as follows:

1. Online Application
Once we receive your application, we’ll carefully review your documents and get back to you within a week to let you know if and how the process will continue.
2. Initial Interview
You’ll speak with someone from the department and People Solutions—usually via Zoom or in person. Within 2–5 days, you’ll receive personalized feedback, usually by phone.
3. Second Interview
This interview takes place on-site, together with your potential manager and 1–2 colleagues. This gives you a chance to get a feel for the team and the offices. Here, too, you’ll receive prompt feedback—we often discuss potential contract details during this step.
4. Contract Offer
You’ll receive a draft contract along with all relevant documents and can review everything at your leisure. You can address any questions or requests for changes directly with People Solutions. You’ll then conveniently sign the contract digitally via DocuSign. You’ll also receive initial information about onboarding.

You can find more information here.
Can I submit a spontaneous application?
Yes, of course! Even if there aren't any suitable openings listed right now, we're always happy to receive spontaneous applications. Please describe as specifically as possible what kind of role you envision for yourself with us and what's important to you.
What documents should I submit?
In most cases, a resume and a few sentences about your motivation or a short cover letter are sufficient. This helps us get to know you better. You can also upload your transcripts (optional) if you’d like.
What qualifications should I bring to the table?
You’ll find the technical requirements in the respective job posting – they vary depending on the role. Essentially, you’ll combine technical expertise, agile work practices, and consulting skills to create real value for our clients.

You’ll be a good fit for us if you’re curious, enjoy learning new things, and share your knowledge; if you work independently, value teamwork, and can handle freedom well – because for us, trust matters more than control.
Who can I contact if I have questions?
If you have any questions about the application process, you can contact our People Solutions Team at any time – preferably by email at kontakt-personal@codecentric.de. The appropriate contact person will get back to you as soon as possible.

About your work at codecentric

What is your work culture like?
You can get a good sense of our work culture on kununu, for example. We’re very proud of our more than 400 genuine reviews and our recognition as a Top Employer. Here’s a brief summary of our core values:
- Trust and creative freedom
- High level of expertise & a casual and open work environment
- Flexible hybrid work models
- Wide variety of clients and projects, modern technologies
- A culture of learning and embracing mistakes
- People-oriented and team-spirited
- Sustainability & innovation
- Diversity & inclusion
How do you work – remotely, in person or in a hybrid model?
Flexible and hybrid work is part of our everyday routine – sometimes we work from home, sometimes in the office. Exactly how this combination works depends on the specific project. For us, it’s all about finding the right balance: face-to-face interaction is just as important to us as flexibility.

Our employees largely shape their daily work routines individually – with plenty of freedom. At the same time, it goes without saying that we meet in person regularly: in our beautiful office spaces, at team meetings, or directly on-site with the client during key project phases.
Do you work overtime?
Overtime is the exception at our company, not the norm. However, if it happens, it should be balanced out soon after. We value a healthy work-life balance – without late-night meetings or weekend work.
What benefits do you offer your employees?
Our list of benefits is long. Here are just a few examples:
- Flexible work hours & hybrid work
- Mobility allowance (e.g. Deutschlandticket, JobRad)
- Professional development opportunities & learning programs (up to 20% of working hours)
- Laptop and cell phone (also for personal use)
- Long-term working time account, for example for sabbaticals or retirement
- Company pension plan
- Fitness grant
- Physical and mental health programs (e.g. EAP)
- Childcare through heycare
- Team events & cultural activities
(You can find more detailed information under “Our Benefits”)
What does the onboarding process look like?
It’s important to us that you feel well taken care of from day one and receive all the essential information. We focus on a tailored and personalized onboarding experience rather than a rigid onboarding program. For example, the onboarding process includes:
- Office welcome by your manager and onboarding buddy
- Technical setup & checklist of key “good-to-know” information
- Professional and cultural onboarding (various formats and training sessions)
- Regular check-ins with your manager and onboarding buddy
- Welcome days and other networking events for rookies
What development opportunities do I have with your company?
At our company, ongoing education is part of your work hours. With programs like OffProject Time (OPT), you can use up to 20% of your time for professional development, conferences, or internal initiatives – as long as you fulfill your job responsibilities and project commitments.

We support your professional development without relying on rigid career models, but rather through, for example:

- Our Academy: Specialized training & learning platforms
- Personalized opportunities: Mentoring & coaching
- Feedback and development discussions with managers and PE mentors
- Various initiatives and networking opportunities
- Junior programs & talent development programs for our early-career talent

Mistakes are a natural part of learning. We foster a positive culture of learning from mistakes, without pointing fingers. Anyone who has the courage to try new things is supported – both by the team and executives.

About our values

What are your thoughts on pay equity and transparency?
We are committed to fair, transparent compensation structures. In doing so, we rely on clear, gender-neutral criteria that are linked to our competency model.
What role does sustainability play for you?
For us, sustainability isn’t just a trend – it’s a principle. We’re committed to sustainability on various levels – environmental, social, and economic. This includes, for example:

- Climate-friendly mobility options (e.g., JobRad, public transit subsidies)
- Resource-efficient office equipment and digital processes
- Responsible management of supply chains and partnerships
- Internal initiatives focused on environmental protection, diversity, and social engagement

We view sustainability as an ongoing process and are open to new ideas – including yours.
How do you approach innovation?
Innovation is an integral part of our culture – and goes far beyond traditional professional development. If you have a great idea, you can present it to our Innovation Board. If your pitch is convincing, you’ll receive the time, budget, and support you need to develop it further. Some of these ideas have already grown into successful startups.
How do you support my physical and mental health?
We place great importance on psychological safety and genuine care. In addition to a culture of open communication, we offer you, for example, access to a 24/7 Employee Assistance Program (EAP), coaching services, wellness initiatives, and fitness programs – both remotely and on-site.
How do you put diversity and inclusion into practice?
We know we haven’t reached our goal yet – but we’re on the right track and are constantly learning. Our goal is a work environment that is free of discrimination and actively promotes diversity.
To achieve this, we rely on targeted initiatives, training, and structural measures – such as flexible sick days for children, fair parental leave policies, and working time accounts.

Various groups within the company are committed to increasing diversity. Promoting women in IT is particularly close to our hearts – the IT industry still has a long way to go in this regard.
