The future of our customers is the future of codecentric
IT is an industry that evolves and changes at a rapid pace. codecentric AG is therefore now positioning itself with an even greater vision for the future. The goal is to identify and test innovative topics before there is an actual need for them. Only then is it possible to meet future customer requirements on an ad hoc basis. Partnerships and new business models – beyond classic consulting – must be planned strategically and with a long-term perspective. The future viability of codecentric AG stands and falls with the future viability of its customers.

codecentric AG has long been engaged with innovation and business development across many areas. Lars Rückemann has been heading the relevant departments for many years, including the codecentric Digitization Labs – a workforce specializing in accompanying customers through the ideation and validation phases of new business ideas and products. Making these topics an official board matter was ultimately a natural consequence.
"We are not acting out of an acute need. But we want to get a head start now so that we are prepared for our customers' challenges in the future and can stand by them as a competent and trusted partner and advisor," says Lars Rückemann about codecentric AG's innovation strategy.
Lars Rückemann began his professional career in IT as a data processing clerk. From the very beginning, he learned how important it is to understand the everyday reality of customers, to be on-site, and to see the context in which they work with software. After studying Business Informatics and holding various positions at larger and smaller companies, he joined codecentric AG more than 10 years ago. Since then, he has taken on a variety of roles – from app development and agile and craftsmanship coaching to managing the Solingen office, and most recently as Head of Business Development.
"At codecentric, change is the only constant," says Lars Rückemann. He appreciates this, as it means that everyone can help influence where the journey goes next. "That is something that has driven me time and again over the past years, and I want to make sure that remains the case for us in the future."
