On 23 April 2024, the certificate was presented to Harald Schlüter (Information Security Officer/ISB) during a celebratory ceremony in the auditorium of codecentric's headquarters in Solingen. Ralph Freude, Head of ICT at TÜV Rheinland, hosted the event and was accompanied by codecentric board member Rainer Vehns.

Data protection and data security continue to be of immense importance for German companies following the implementation of the European General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR). For this reason, it was crucial for codecentric AG to pursue ISO 27001 certification.
ISO 27001 is a globally recognised standard for establishing an Information Security Management System (ISMS). This certification confirms that codecentric has an effective ISMS in place that supports the company in keeping its systems and IT processes available and maintaining the confidentiality of information.
Harald Schlüter and his team managed the certification process internally, supported by their consultant Christian Maas and TÜV Rheinland, which conducted the audit and certification procedure. Continuous audits ensure that codecentric's ISMS is constantly improved and updated.
