The manufacturer announced this at a virtual conference on 02/17/2023, at which it launched its new partner program. codecentric AG received the award for its expertise in the field of Observability and specifically Instana. With the "Ecosystem Awards", IBM recognizes particularly valuable partner companies in the DACH region.
AIOps, a term coined by the research institute Gartner, stands for "Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations" and pursues the goal of using artificial intelligence and machine learning for the monitoring of IT systems (Observability).
"As application landscapes become increasingly complex, Observability is becoming ever more important," said Michael Kurc, Automation Partner Specialist at IBM. "In the past fiscal year, codecentric AG has demonstrated incomparably how IBM Instana delivers the expected added value to our customers and is implemented to their satisfaction. With their clear focus on Observability and their unique skills and know-how, codecentric has made a significant contribution to success in the AIOps segment. With various new implementations and the expansion of existing customer environments, they have implemented our Land and Expand philosophy in an outstanding way. We are delighted to present codecentric AG with this year's AIOps Award in recognition of their past successes and their unique commitment to Instana."
"As an Instana partner from the very beginning, we are absolutely convinced by this unique Application Performance Management solution," commented Niko Blättermann, Head of Observability at codecentric, on the award. "We are therefore all the more pleased about the many satisfied customers whom we are able to help ease their entry into the world of Observability with our know-how. The fact that IBM is honoring our commitment with this award motivates us to make our expertise in the field of AIOps and specifically Instana available to many more customers."
In April 2015, Instana was founded by Mirko Novakovic (also a co-founder of codecentric), Pete Abrams, Fabian Lange, and Pavlo Baron. Since 2020, the successful company has been part of IBM. In 2020, codecentric was named "EMEA Partner of the Year" by Instana.
