New Corporate Design
A major step was the introduction of our new corporate design – our website and blog were redesigned and revamped. Both are now clearer and more modern. This is also reflected in the growing visitor numbers on our blog – over 2 million users read the exciting posts from our colleagues. In addition, codecentric AG celebrated its 10th anniversary with a large, two-day event in June.
Newsletter & Softwerker
Since February 2015, we have been sending out our monthly newsletter, which always covers interesting topics on agile software development and codecentric. Well over 2,000 subscribers are kept up to date with the latest news every month. In addition to our Softwerker magazine, which now also has well over 1,000 subscribers, this year we published two editions of the Cloud Fibel and a special Elasticsearch edition of the Softwerker.
codecentric Growing Ever Larger and More Popular
2015 also saw the codecentric team grow – we hired 93 new colleagues, making us a team of 309 codecentricers in total. The Berlin, Hamburg, and Frankfurt offices moved to new premises in 2015, and in October codecentric expanded to include a Dortmund location – in total, we now have 14 locations in four European countries. In the kununu rankings, codecentric was named the best employer in Düsseldorf and became the second most popular employer in Berlin.
Community & Charity
We were also very active in the community in 2015 – we sponsored and hosted many meetups and regular gatherings. Our codecentricers were very industrious and founded their own events such as the Hackergarten in Stuttgart or IoT Frankfurt. At charity events, our employees once again rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in. This year, our colleagues showed their full commitment to charitable causes on no fewer than three occasions.
New Partners
In 2015, codecentric AG became the exclusive partner of GitHub in the German-speaking world. We can now support our customers in using GitHub Enterprise in production environments. codecentric has also been partnered with Typesafe, the leading product provider for reactive applications on the Java Virtual Machine, since this year.
Outlook
2015 was a great year and we have achieved a lot, but we do not intend to let up in 2016 either. Above all, our move to the new company headquarters in Solingen is on the horizon – here our codecentricers will have new space to provide the best possible advice to our customers.
