Thomas Darimont from codecentric AG was recently appointed as the first official Keycloak maintainer outside of RedHat.

Thomas has been contributing to the Keycloak project since 2015 and has made a name for himself. "He is well known and respected both among the current maintainers and in the Keycloak community. He has enriched the community through practical examples, valuable discussions on mailing lists, and talks at conferences. In addition, he has also helped with design discussions and contributed bug fixes as well as new features," reads the official announcement on keycloak.org.

As a maintainer, he will initially support the project with Keycloak.X. In addition, he will help review and support community contributions, engage with the community, and participate in discussions about new features and possibilities.

"The Keycloak team is very pleased to have Thomas join us as a maintainer, and we look forward to working even more closely with him in the future."
