In the run-up to Christmas, we plan celebrations, think about suitable gifts for our loved ones, and think a lot about others. It is only natural to step outside our usual sphere of influence. Our responsibility does not end with successful projects or innovative ideas – it extends far beyond that.
Whether through initiatives like "Hey, Alter!", the Girls' Days or our Charity Days: we are passionately committed to a fair, sustainable and social community. For us, engagement means taking action – within the company and beyond, right in the heart of society. Because we are convinced: those who want to shape the future must also take responsibility.
In 2025, too, we have decided to make a Christmas donation to non-profit organisations on behalf of our employees and clients. As always, our employees were able to nominate associations and initiatives that are particularly close to their hearts. The board – Rainer Vehns, Verena Deller and Lars Rückemann – selected three organisations from the many suggestions that will be supported with our donation.
"It is impressive how many colleagues contribute suggestions every year and often also volunteer for these organisations in their private lives. The selection was once again not easy for us. We are delighted that our Christmas donation can support projects that stand for digital education, environmental and animal protection, and rapid assistance in emergency situations – and thus represent values that are important to us as codecentric," said the board.
The recipients of our 2025 donations
This year, too, we would like to give the sponsors from our team the opportunity to introduce their favourite projects:
codiviti education – Digital education for all children
Digitalisation is advancing – but not all children benefit equally from it. codiviti education is committed to enabling children between the ages of 6 and 14 to experience technology early on and creatively. In exciting workshops and project days, they learn to make robots dance, create electronic music and understand the basics of programming. It is particularly important to codiviti education that children from less privileged neighbourhoods also have access to digital education.
Our sponsor, Thorsten Maus, explains:
"I think it's wonderful how codiviti education opens up the world of technology to children regardless of their background. Especially in an increasingly digital society, it is important that all children get the chance to engage with technology in a creative and playful way. The enthusiasm that arises in the workshops is contagious!"
Mission Erde e. V. – Commitment that creates ripples
Mission Erde e. V. stands for active environmental and animal protection on many levels. The association initiates and supports projects worldwide – from rescuing endangered species to acquiring and protecting rainforest areas, to concrete actions such as recovering ghost nets or planting new trees. A special feature: the work of Mission Erde is made visible through modern media and thus made accessible to a broad public. With informative and entertaining films, the team succeeds in raising awareness among people and motivating them to get involved.
Our colleague Timo Rath says:
"Robert Marc Lehmann and his team at Mission Erde e.V. are committed worldwide to protecting the Earth and its living beings. They rescue animals, purchase rainforest areas and carry out environmental and climate protection projects with great personal dedication. I find it particularly impressive how they use modern media such as YouTube to reach many people with their films, educate them and raise awareness. This creates multipliers who in turn inspire others to treat the environment more mindfully, protect rainforests or take part in activities such as tree planting."
Jugendhilfeeinrichtung Hossenhaus Solingen – Help after the fire
A particular concern for us this year is supporting the Protestant children's and youth welfare service Hossenhaus in Solingen. After a fire in October 2025, important care rooms were destroyed. For the children and young people living there, who depend on a structured daily routine and a safe environment, the situation is particularly distressing. The facility is working at full speed to repair the damage and restore a sense of normality for the children as quickly as possible.
Last year, too, the Solingen colleagues showed their commitment to the children and young people by collecting their wish lists before Christmas and fulfilling them on Christmas Eve. After the fire, it was especially important to us as the codecentric community to support Hossenhaus again this Christmas.

Co-donors welcome!
A heartfelt thank you to all sponsors for their commitment and their suggestions. We are delighted to be able to support these valuable organisations with our Christmas donation – locally at our sites and across Germany. Anyone still looking for a meaningful way to donate at the end of the year is welcome to join us.
