codecentric is a Microsoft Solutions Partner in the area of "Digital and Application Innovation"
After a long effort and as a strong team, codecentric was able to meet all the criteria this year to become a Microsoft Solutions Partner in the area of "Digital and Application Innovation". The partnership reflects the ambition to be agnostically positioned in all areas and underlines the expertise of our colleagues. codecentric can now work even more closely with Microsoft, and of course customers also benefit from the expanded qualifications of codecentric employees.
The qualification was made possible, among other things, by a certain number of new customers and employee certifications and the provision of Azure services to customers. Of all Microsoft partners, only a small proportion can claim a registered solutions partner specialization, a group that codecentric can now proudly count itself among. In addition to Microsoft Azure, codecentric also has cloud partnerships with Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud, as well as many other collaborations.
CustomGPT "5 Levers Hubert"
codecentric has published its own customGPT, to enrich conventional ChatGPT with additional knowledge and take it to the next level. The "5 Levers Hubert" is enriched with the insights from the "5 levers for a short time-to-market and better products" that codecentric's Steffen Oehme developed himself. The goal is to minimize misdevelopment in product development. The "5 Levers Hubert" combines this content with the world knowledge of ChatGPT and thereby becomes a product coach that helps users work more effectively.
The customGPT is available in the OpenAI Store and can be used by ChatGPT Plus users.
Kickoff 2024: codecentric rocks Phantasialand
As every January, a codecentric tradition took place again: our kickoff event, this year at Phantasialand in Brühl. With now 13 locations across Germany, the event was a great opportunity for codecentric to come together in one place, exchange ideas and learn from each other. This year, Rainer Vehns, Lars Rückemann, Stefan Riedel and Verena Deller took to the stage together as the board for the first time and guided us through the day.
We looked back on the past year and celebrated successes such as our B Corp™ certification, then the board presented us with codecentric 2027, our shared goal for the coming years. The day continued with exciting talks and an interactive workshop for mutual knowledge sharing, until the official part of the event concluded with the presentation of the Community Awards. As is tradition, we rounded off the day with a lively celebration at Phantasialand.
codecentric AG receives ISO 27001 certificate
With an effective information security management system (ISMS), codecentric was able to secure the internationally recognized ISO 27001 certificate this year. The ISMS supports codecentric in keeping its systems and IT processes available and maintaining the confidentiality of information. Continuous audits ensure that codecentric's ISMS is constantly improved and updated.
The ISO 27001 certification is in line with the corporate values of codecentric AG and demonstrates its commitment to sustainable and up-to-date solutions, without neglecting day-to-day business or compromising agility.
codecentric recognized as a Top IT Service Provider
codecentric was able to impress the Handelsblatt Research Institute and was named one of the 66 top IT service providers in Germany. codecentric was particularly convincing in the area of "software implementation and maintenance".
The Handelsblatt ranking is based on a survey of over 3,300 employees from 580 IT service companies, who in turn nominate other companies in their industry that they consider reputable. codecentric received the required number of independent recommendations and was able to secure a place on the top list.

Award-winning: cc cloud GmbH receives the GitLab EMEA Services Partner of the Year Award 2024
cc cloud GmbH, a subsidiary of codecentric AG, can proudly call itself the "GitLab EMEA Services Partner of the Year 2024" as of this year. With the award, GitLab recognizes cc cloud's achievements in GitLab's partner ecosystem and acknowledges its ability to support customers in implementing, customizing and optimizing GitLab products while offering first-class services.
GitLab was founded in San Francisco in 2014 and offers software solutions for version control and collaboration for developer teams, including tools for DevOps management. The partnership with GitLab has developed over the past years and will continue to exist in order to support customers with outstanding solutions and services in achieving their goals. cc cloud GmbH will also comprehensively support GitLab as a managed service and GitLab Professional Services for its customers with its DevSecOps platform in the coming year.
We venture into research – the Lünendonk study
This year, codecentric, alongside other companies, collaborated with Lünendonk & Hossenfelder to produce a study on the topic of "Application Modernization & Cloud Transformation". The focus was on the current state and priorities of application modernization and cloud transformation in companies, and the key drivers behind them.
The study showed that the topic of cloud and digital transformation has grown beyond a purely IT bubble and is now also a high priority for many specialist departments in order to adapt to customer and market requirements. 7 out of 10 companies have already begun this process and most are confident that their systems can meet current requirements.
From participating in the study, codecentric was also able to draw insights for itself: cloud transformation is most successful when IT is developed in harmony with organizational and cultural change and compliance & security requirements.

In 2024, codecentric once again made it onto the renowned Lünendonk List of leading mid-sized IT consulting and system integration companies in Germany. It is regarded as the leading market barometer and provides a comprehensive overview of the IT consulting industry in Germany. The placement recognizes the company's continuous growth strategy – according to Stefan Riedel, board member at codecentric, "the nicest compliment our customers can pay us". It shows that codecentric's services create real value for customers.
codecentric is very pleased about the award and is motivated to continue ensuring quality for customers across all service areas.
Innovative employee participation at codecentric
codecentric AG has introduced an employee participation model that enables both financial and substantive participation. Employees can now acquire shares in the company and thus participate in its long-term value development. In addition, a company parliament has been established, which serves as an agile information and exchange body. Here, employee representatives, board members, supervisory board members and shareholders regularly discuss important topics together.
This new participation model promotes deeper employee involvement in decisions and processes, strengthens their identification with the company and once again demonstrates that codecentric values its employees as a central factor for success.
Encouraging girls in IT – Girls' Day at codecentric
In April, codecentric AG enthusiastically celebrated Girls' Day at seven locations. In Bielefeld, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Berlin, Solingen, Frankfurt and Dortmund, schoolgirls enjoyed a varied program that showcased different facets of the IT world. Robots were programmed, 3D printers were used, websites were created and Lego Mindstorms were built – all in keeping with the motto: learning by doing.
We believe Girls' Day is a win-win situation: the girls have a lot of fun exploring IT career paths and codecentric makes an important contribution to promoting women in the IT industry.
Commitment to diversity and equality at and with codecentric
In 2024, codecentric took major steps to further strengthen its commitment to diversity and equality. On International Women's Day, our board member Verena Deller spoke about the importance of equal opportunities and the women@codecentric initiative, which promotes more flexible working conditions and fair advancement opportunities. In her interview, she emphasized how important it is to actively embrace diversity and specifically support women in order to create an equal working environment.
codecentric also celebrated the German Diversity Day to honor the diversity within our company. The day was filled with sessions that shed light on topics such as privilege, safer spaces and women's networks, and highlighted how important an inclusive and diversity-conscious working environment is. These events gave codecentric employees the opportunity to engage intensively with aspects of diversity and gain new perspectives. Verena Deller opened the day's program and underlined codecentric's commitment to social responsibility as a certified B Corp and
signatory of the Diversity Charter.
At the end of the year, codecentric organized a significant networking event in Munich together with MaibornWolff GmbH under the motto "Stronger together, changing together". Around 50 women from the tech industry came together to exchange ideas on networking, mentoring and leadership. With a Lego workshop to kick things off and inspiring talks from leading women from both companies, such as Verena Deller and Martina Beck, numerous valuable impulses were set. The event raised awareness of the challenges and opportunities facing women in the IT industry and motivated us to continue actively working to promote gender diversity.
Together for a better future – charitable campaigns at codecentric
In 2024, codecentric AG once again demonstrated how much social engagement and responsibility mean to it. On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, our employees at various locations actively stood up for women in need. With initiatives such as providing hygiene products in Solingen, donations in kind and future workshops in Bielefeld, food packages in Münster and financial support in Dortmund, we supported local women's shelters.
Our annual Christmas donation also contributed to doing good and promoting the common good. On behalf of our employees and customers, we donated to three non-profit organizations. The association Acker e. V. promotes sustainable agriculture and environmental awareness among children, the Sozialdienst katholischer Frauen e. V. supports women and families in difficult life situations, and the Gesellschaft für Freiheitsrechte e. V. fights for the protection and enforcement of fundamental and human rights.
